Kim Valeri Povey
Kim Valeri Povey is an Ayurvedic Doctor-Level trained Advanced Practitioner through Kerala Ayurveda Academy, Board Certified Practitioner (C.A.P) through the National Ayurvedic Medical Association (NAMA), and a Massachusetts-registered Community Health Worker (C.H.W.). She is also a Certified Yoga Therapist (A.Y.T., C-IAYT) and a senior educator specializing in Ayurvedic Psychology (Satvavajaya Chikitsa), Ayurveda Yoga Therapy, and Family Health.
With over four decades of professional experience, Kim is a recognized leader in the field of Ayurveda and integrative health education. She is the Founder and Owner of Yogaspirit® Studios, one of the early pioneers in yoga education in the United States, and previously served as CEO of Kerala Ayurveda Academy, USA, as well as Academic and Clinical Director of the Boston Ayurveda School.
Kim has trained Ayurvedic Wellness Professionals, Ayurvedic Practitioners, Yoga Therapists, and Yoga Teachers nationwide through respected educational institutions. As a Preceptor and Mentor, she is deeply committed to shaping the next generation of natural health professionals and advancing the quality, integrity, and clinical depth of complementary and integrative healthcare.
Her clinical and teaching work is distinguished by a strong foundation in Ayurvedic psychology (Satvavajaya Chikitsa), with an emphasis on mental resilience, emotional regulation, and the role of consciousness in healing. She is particularly passionate about Ayurveda’s contribution to integrative healthcare models and its relevance in addressing modern chronic and lifestyle-related conditions.
Kim is also the Founder of Veda Vita Family Health and Wellness, where she applies Ayurvedic medicine, traditional herbal preparations, lifestyle medicine, and yoga therapy in client-centered clinical practice.
